We re-platform the entire company from the legacy monolith to micro-services, helped build the tech team including selection of various agencies, middleware & backend Engineering, QA, product management.
At the start of the engagement, the company had a high-traffic and high-volume site with multiple challenges:
- completely siloed and out-of-sync inventory management between web and multiple brick & mortar stores
- multiple siloed ecommerce sites for NY & LA stores
- no canonical source of inventory with any API endpoints
- no customer service tools and integration with ecommerce
- no warehouse management systems to track & identify inventory at every stage of distribution

- The re-platform of the entire internal toolset from a legacy monolithic FileMaker application to a Rails & Postgres series of microservices
- The re-vamp of all internal retail systems & infrastructure: wiring, POS, hardware, iOS customer requests, PCI compliance
- The hiring of several tech teams to lead the legacy system decommission
- Research, prototyping and QA of a custom warehouse management system
- Migration of payment verification to Riskified
